A Cuddly Service Project

One of our goals at Pockets Full of Sunshine for our summer programming was to complete a service project. Giving back is one of our core values and we take the opportunity to do so whenever we are able. Our wonderful Social Coordinator Karns came up with a unique and fun project that the Rays absolutely adored!

The Rays spent time this summer stuffing and sewing up the sweetest little stuffed animals.

After they were all completed and tagged, with lots of love no doubt, we took a field trip to our local Sheriff Station.

The Rays donated all of the stuffed animals they had created to our local law enforcement officers who will then use them to give out to children they encounter on calls and in emergency situations. A little soft spot of comfort in what can be scary situations.

We loved this project and can’t wait to do more like it in the future!
